Like I had mentioned in my previous post, boyfriend and I had plans to rent to own this house. We were a half hour from signing the lease when things fell through. I'm not going into details as to why, and I'm not saying they are bad people or that anything was their fault, however unforeseen things happened which prevented us from moving in. They also had a couch which they said when we moved in we could have, and we had threw our old couch away. Since we were no longer moving in, that also meant no couch. So at the end of the day there we sat with our apartment piled high with boxes full of our things and a couch-less living room.
We have 3 months left on our lease and plans are to stay put until the lease is up. People tell me that since we don't have long to go, we should just keep everything packed up. I don't know about you, but I don't want to feel homeless or in a transitional phase for that long. I want to feel at home.
The landlords also had inspections and after a year of telling them there was mold under the tile floor due to leaky pipes, they have now ripped up all the tile in our kitchen and have moved all the appliances into our living room.
No living room. No kitchen.
Essentially we have been living upstairs for 2 days and probably will continue this for another 2 days until they finish.
Since I have completely no control over my life for the past few weeks...I have become addicted to Pinterest and addicted to the idea of crafting. Now if you knew me personally you would probably be trying to pick yourself up off the floor due to falling down in a fit of laughter, but I am going to try this. I have always wanted to own my own business but I have never really been good at any one particular thing. I'm great with talking to people, but that will only get you so far. My goal is to find crafting classes and inexpensive cheap items at goodwill and flip them into something totally different.
I also plan on organizing my life, and things in my home so I will be less stressed and de-cluttered. There is another blogger "The complete guide to imperfect homemaking" and she has a 31 day blog on organizing and I thought it would be cool if I could do that. Every day, organize something different and blog about it.
So here I go, obsessed with another hobby. Let's see how long this lasts :)
Here are some pictures of what I have done so far...
